Set:  Kitchen

Scene: The morning after the show, Tommy and Allison are sitting at the breakfast table. Tommy is dressed business casual ready to go to his office. Tommy’s body language conveys obvious disappointment. Allison is uncomfortable but trying to hide it.

Bethany enters

Beth “what was with that name?”

Tommy (unemotionally) “A play on my name Tommy, The Who, Pinball Wizard… I hadn’t given it a lot of thought until we had to register.”

Beth “maybe you should have”

Tommy “no reason to now”.

Cat enters

Cat “that was great last night”.

Tommy grunts.

Cat gives a puzzled look to Allison.

Allison “fourth place”.

Tommy “They said it was dated. Dated? Of course it was dated it was written in the seventies.”

Allison “You loved the attention

Tommy smiles “it was fun”.

Allison doesn’t want to push the issue but is not good at hiding her feelings.

They finish breakfast. Tommy grabs his briefcase and leaves for work, back to the grind to earn a living.
